The ALC4080 chip is physically installed as a USB Audio device to "USB Root Hub (USB 3.0)" device. My specs: ASUS Z690-E Motherboard with ALC4080 chip, CPU 12900K, G.Skill DDR5-6000-C元6Audio out: 5.1 PCM But meanwhile, the steps below at least made my new PC useable. I really HOPE that ASUS continues to work and fix these problems. Here are the steps that I took which eliminated MOST but not all of the problems.
I've seen a lot of people complain about sound problems (lagging, static, noise, pops, etc.) on their new ASUS Z690-xx based builds with Realtek ALC4080/ALC4082 audio chip, especially with Windows 11 for some reason.
